Night with the TinCaps for Camp Watcha-Wanna-Do

The Fort Wayne TinCaps are a Class A minor League Baseball team based in Fort Wayne, IN, and they are affiliated with the San Diego Pagres. Stan was honored to sponsor families from Camp Watcha-Wanna-Do at one of the TinCaps games recently.

Camp Watch-Wanna-Do began in 1992 as a one-week resident camp for 38 children surviving cancer. In less than three years, 0ver 100 kids a week were hiking, swimming and playing their way from the worries of cancer. Stan was thrilled to see the families had such a good time!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Presents

Man & Woman of the Year

Man & Woman of the Year is philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States. Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors.

The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community. Northwestern Mutual is very proud of our own, Stanley Koehl. Stan's very personal decision to compete in the 2019 Man & Woman of the Year contest culminated in his raising over $100,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society-a truly extraordinary amount to raise in a 10 week time frame. These dedicated individuals had a combined total campaign amount of $703,000 all going to fight blood cancers. Outstanding!
